Digital signage means a screen that shows content. Most vendors charge a licence per screen per month. adyoutiser sells no licence.
Why that works. Your screen has airtime. You only need part of it for your own content. Advertisers book the unsold rest, starting at €2. That revenue pays for the software, and you keep 30–60% of it.
- What is free:
- software and player
- dashboard
- uploading your own content — menu, offers, opening hours
- your existing screen, if you already have one
What costs money. Hardware only, if you do not have a screen yet. The Linux player costs €249 net and ships now. A TV stick with a free app arrives late 2026 for €79 net.
The catch, said plainly. You commit for 12 months. The contract then renews for 1 year at a time, cancellable up to 3 months before it ends. The reason: a new screen needs lead time before advertisers find it.
Free signage software exists elsewhere too — as a trial, as a one-screen free tier, as open source you host yourself. Here, free is the normal case, not the entry step.
