We are not legal advice. We tell you where the question gets decided — the rest you settle with the authority.
Facing inwards. A screen behind the counter or in the waiting area shows content to your own guests. That is furnishing, not an advertising installation.
Facing the street. If the screen sits in the window and reads from outside, it can count as an announcement. In Vienna the building authority (MA 37) is responsible. In protected zones and on listed façades the rules are stricter.
- Three things you settle regardless:
- landlord consent, if you rent
- consent of the owners' association, in a shared building
- brightness and operating hours, if flats sit above you
What this has to do with us. Nothing in our model depends on it. Software and dashboard cost you nothing, whichever way the screen points. The permit is yours, because the location is yours.
When in doubt: ask first, mount second. A phone call is cheaper than a removal.
