What Share of Voice actually means.
Share of Voice (SOV) is the percentage of ad time on a screen that is reserved for your campaign. On every adyoutiser screen the hour is split into 12 ten-second ad spots — 120 seconds of ad time total per hour, the rest is content. If you book 25% SOV, you get 3 of those 12 spots every hour. If you book 100%, you get all 12.
It does not matter how many people walk past. SOV is a time-share contract, not an impression auction. You pay a fixed daily price for a fixed share of the screen's ad time, every day, every hour the screen is on.
Step 1 — Capacity
12 ad spots per hour, 10 seconds each
Step 2 — Your share
spots per hour = 12 × SOV%
Step 3 — Cadence
your spot plays every (60 / spots) minutes
12 spots per hour, 10s each
12 spots × 10 seconds = 120 seconds of ad time per hour.
From that single fact, every SOV percentage and price tier in our system is derived. There is no hidden multiplier, no auction adjustment, no daypart premium. Multiply your booked SOV by 12 to get spots per hour.
| Booked SOV | Spots / hour | Cadence | What it feels like |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 % | 1.2 | Every ~50 min | Background presence — a quiet drum beat |
| 25 % | 3 | Every ~20 min | Standard launch tier — felt without being aggressive |
| 50 % | 6 | Every ~10 min | Half the screen feels yours during a passer-by's window |
| 100 % | 12 | Every ~5 min | Total takeover — only your creative plays |
We enforce ±1 percentage point fairness in a 60-minute rolling window — if you booked 25% you will see between 24% and 26% of the spots, every hour, measured live.
